Grinding Glass beads are mostly used as wet and dry grinding media which adopted by micron powders processing, not only used in paint, dyement, and ink industries, but also used in magnetic, pharmaceutical, papermaking, China-clay and rubber industry. There are four types of glass bead grinding media available as below.
Normal Glass Beads Featured good clarity, chemical stability, at low cost, used for grinding or shot blasting.
SiO2 Al2O3 CaO MgO Na2O
Specific Gravity: 2.45 Bulk Density: 1.5g/cm3 Micro-hardness: 635kg/mm2
0.4-0.6 0.6-0.8 0.8-1.0 1.0-1.5 1.5-2.0
2.5-3.0 3.0-3.5 3.5-4.0 4.0-4.5 4.5-5.0
Intensive Glass Beads
Featured good intenacity, wear-resistance, chemical stability, PH value 7.2, Suitable for grinding of materials with low or medium viscosity or shot blasting.
SiO2 Al2O3 CaO BaO Na2OB2O3
Specific Gravity: 2.5 Bulk Density: 1.5g/cm3 Micro-hardness: 680kg/mm2
0.4--0.6 0.6-0.8 0.8-1.0 1.0-1.5 1.5-2.0
2.5--3.0 3.0-3.5 3.5-4.0 4.0-4.5 4.5-5.0
Wear-resistance Glass Beads
Featured high density, good intenacity, wear-resistance, chemical stability, less abrasion than zirconia oxide beads, Suitable for wet or dry grinding of materials with medium or high viscosity.
